Already as I small girl she was clear over her future career. Linda wanted to spend her time with crafts and what could have been more suitable than a course in glass blowing at Orrefors glassworks having already completed a program in art, design and aesthetics

Her apprentice was follow by one additional year leading to 3 years in the end. A scholarship from Orrefors led to a coveted place in the Mecca of glassworks - Italy. She was there after her work offered a permanent place but decided to go back to Sweden

Linda has always enjoyed travel; however the thought of living so far away from her family and friends made it impossible.

Despite the fact that she now lived in Sweden she was still 1200 kilometres from my hometown, when she got the opportunity to open her very own glassworks in the north of Sweden she of course took the chance.

Her career at the glassworks continued with Orrefors, followed by Pukeberg and finally at Tingsgarden in Eskilstuna where she stayed for 3 years and earned herself a reputation also as a designer for several well knows Swedish companies.

Today Linda lives in her hometown of Piteå the twin city of Gustavia, her work is helping to attract visitors to this very sparsely populated part of Sweden. Hetahyttan is the countries most northern glassworks and she works by her self in the workshop. She has never viewed herself as an artist but more of a designer, enjoying the creation of beautiful things. As a craftsperson she creates items with a `soul' and feeling, every item is produced with great care. The design is important, needs to feel creative and accessible. She creates exclusive items for customers in an open glassworks where everyone is welcome to come a have a look, ask questions or simply enjoy watching this 2000 year old craft.

The glassworks is housed in a beautiful of brewery 115 years old just at the edge of Pitea river, in this inspiring and creative atmosphere Linda has found a future full of challenge, joy and growth for the future!
