Kristin studies at the institute for ceramics and glass at the Swedish national school of arts Konstfack in Stockholm where she now goes the third and last year of Bachelor-education.

She grew up in the middle of Sweden Dalarna by the lake Siljan, where she lived on the slope of a mountain with 10 km long panoramic view over the sea and the mountains.

Kristin's biggest interests have always been nature and sports. At an early age she learnt Nordic skiing and has spent many winters in the Swedish mountains to ski as well as in the summer to enjoy this part of nature as well. This enthusiasm led to a place in the Swedish national team for juniors for orientation on skis, giving Kristin the opportunity to see many parts of Sweden, from Skåne in the south to Kiruna in the very North.

Kristin has also always had a big interest for form, design and architecture. After completing her foundation courses she moved to Stockholm in order to study at the institution for ceramics and glass. The institution has given her a broad education and contains product design, handicrafts, sculpting and design for public environments.

Now, design and the handicraft studies takes up the most part of her time but she happily visits the Swedish mountains or her home of Dalarna in order to relax and socialize with family and friends.

It is the view over the Swedish snow covered mountains, the mountains around the lake of Siljan that has been inspiration to the light holder `Horisont'.

It is made in china and is randomly molded. The edge's appearance becomes different for each lamp, they become unique. With the thin edge and the china's transparency the lamp catches the light both with and without a candle.
